It's not a template. -- OlEnglish (Talk) 23:16, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, technically it is, but no you can't delete it. -- œ 02:29, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, an admin can, but there's no reason to. -- œ 02:29, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Question edit

Why has the $1 variable been excluded from the message? This variable displays the public title of the filter that has been tripped when the action is disallowed. I think that the variable should be added so that inexperienced but good-faith users who may not know how to check their filter hits log will know why their edit was blocked. 66.31.81.200 (talk) 20:23, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Edit" should be changed to "$1" to match the action that the user took (move, createaccount, etc.) — EthanGaming7640, Counter-Vandalism Unit 15:03, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done see MediaWiki_talk:Abusefilter-warning for same rationale. — xaosflux Talk 15:49, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also see above, that doesn't seem like the right variable? — xaosflux Talk 15:50, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'm transcluding an unprotected page, but this message will only be shown to users (such as myself) who deliberately trip a filter for testing purposes. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 18:59, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Suffusion of Yellow mediawiki subpages are assumed to be language variants, could you use MediaWiki:Abusefilter-disallowed-sandbox instead? — xaosflux Talk 16:34, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Xaosflux: Yep, that works. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 17:57, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
